MINI SWISS Tour Mont Blanc 8-10 SEP2024
3 days: Spectacular Swiss Alps part of Tour Mont Blanc. Amazing Arpette window way included.
Service Description
The MINI Swiss trip provides 3 days of quality walking in the Swiss Alps. The MINI Swiss trip provides views of stunning glaciers, mountain scenery, it follows trails and narrow mountain paths, it crosses meadows full of flowers and pine trees, and takes in the Swiss Alps, it also cross through one of the high passes on the Tour de Mont Blanc called the Fenetre d'Arpette. A highlight for most people. Walk along beautiful foot path to rural Bovine, go around, down and uphill on exhilarating, beautiful and demanding trail. The route continues on an easier path to beautiful Les Arlaches from Champex, then on to La Fouly & Val Ferret. This trip provides magical mountain moments on the ascent to Grand Ferret. You reach the Italian border and see the Monte Bianco and views across Italy through Val Ferret and Val Veny. Return via the Fenetre d'Arpette to see the high mountains of the Mont Blanc Massif, descend the boulders, scree and rock paths on the other side of the mountain, this is a beautiful physical experience that is a highlight on the Tour Mont Blanc. Some say it is the best day due to its' big challenge factor, steepness and rewarding views. The MINI Swiss trip requires energy and leg strength to walk up the rock steps safely, or, just take it slowly if not arriving with leg strength, go steady, and enjoy walking up and down the foot paths. Accommodation: the intention is always spotlessly clean accommodation in ideally 4 start hotels, or if not available then 3 star guest houses, and in the high mountain and remote terrain then dormitory accommodation is the solution. In July this can be a challenge due to the increased demand for the sought after hotels and guest houses. The trip include a Swiss local bus for the flat valley section of the journey.
