Service Description

Includes accommodation (hotels and alpine refuges), food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and an International Mountain Leader (IML) to guide you through the mountain environment. Long walking days to see Swiss, Italian & French Alps and Mont Blanc Massif Mountains. Day 1: Start 9:00. From Orsieres, Switzerland from meeting point at the train station, we go to La Fouly & mountain village Ferret, in Val Ferret. We ascend mountains of Val Ferret to discover alpine scenery and descend into Combe de l'A in Switzerland. Caveat for Day 1 - it involves a steep slope that in heavy rain can be avoided via 3 Lac Fenetres to prevent slipping on steep ground & landslide risks. Day 2: Start 9:00. Descend from Bavon rocks to Entremont to visit Liddes & Bourg St Pierre. Day 3: Start 9:00. Go to Swiss alpine hut Col Mille hut with views to Mont Blanc Massif, Gd Combin & Mont Vélan. Day 4: Start 9:00. Explore the Entremont valley. Day 5: Start 9:00. Walk to Col St Bernard to see Italian Alps via Lac Toules & Col Cheveaux for fine views of Mont Blanc Massif mountains. Day 6: Start 9:00. Walk from Col Grand Bernard to Rifugio Frasatti via the big Italian Cols to Lake Merdeaux. Day 7: Start 8:00. Go up Col Malatrait and descend Malatrait valley to Rifugio Bonatti for an Italian lunch. Continue along Bonatti Balcony walk towards Rifugio Helena and after lunch do a big hike up to Col de Grand Ferret to return into Switzerland. Go over Italian Swiss border & walk down to La Fouly. End at La Fouly at 9pm. Taxi to Orsieres. Discover natural mountain delights. Go between Val Ferret & Val Entremont in areas of natural beauty near Mont Blanc Massif Mountains with great views. Ascend steep mountain paths. Do a beautiful 5 day deep dive into magical places on Swiss & Italian sides of the Mont Blanc Massif enjoying views of mountains all around. Visit Swiss & Italian mountain huts like Col de Mille & Rifugio Frasatti and try out fine mountain hospitality in mountain huts at high altitude. Each day is a demanding adventure with significant uphill sections which require you to dig a deep inside as you walk up and down the steep hills. We go at a relaxing pace to fully appreciate each quality mountain day: 3-4 km/hr. Ruck sacks are carried by individual participants on trips. There is no base camp and this trip goes from place to place discovering as much as possible & to see fab mountains views across varied mountain terrain.
