DATE OPTIONS: Choose from list below. SUMMARY: A full day of beautiful walking along trails in the Contamine Montjoie nature reserve with lunch included. See beautiful alpine scenery and visit Glacier Miage view point beneath the Mont Blanc to enjoy the mountains. Walk slowly as a group with a qualified International Mountain Leader providing info enroute. The route is uphill and then down hill, it goes on safe easy wide trails and has sections in the shade. The morning walk is all uphill, so this a good choice for hot heat wave days when the shade is refreshing, the pace is slow and not in a hurry. Lunch time at Refuge Miage. Enjoy the alpine scenery. Explore the area on foot if you want to get a bit closer to the Glacier area, or remain at Miage View Point and Refuge. Take time to enjoy the surrounding scenery and refreshment before returning on fabulous foot paths via Gruvaz to Les Contamines town centre exploring small alpine villages on the way down. Finish at Contamines Tourist Information Office.
