1 day Brevent to refuge 6km- Lift Up

SUMMARY: Take a lift up to the top of Brevent mountain. See stunning alpine scenery, glaciers, mountains and Lake Brevent. Embark on an unforgettable day of alpine nature discovery above Chamonix valley at a slowish pace whilst looking across the entire Chamonix valley. See Le Mont Blanc from Brevent View Point in all it's beauty. Walk across to Bellachat Refuge for full view of mountains and glaciers in the valley. Relay at Refuge Bellachat and have a picnic lunch before returning to Brevent mountain lift to return down to Chamonix Valley. An ideal mountain trip for people happy to stretch their legs a little bit after taking a lift up to the top. Enjoy great alpine scenery and continue walk after lunch along the mountains. Fine views on offer throughout the day across French Alps. Natural wonder all around you and alpine flowers along the way. Aim to go at a leisurely pace for beginners discovering mountain terrain at 3-4km an hour. Maintain group safety. INCLUDED: Lift up to Brevent mountain top. Lunch and drink. International Mountain Leader to accompany you and lead the way. Please note a lift takes you from Chamonix level 1034m to mountain top by lift, and you walk out at 2525m above sea level, so if you suffer from altitude sickness please choose a lower valley option. WALK ITSELF: On a large natural and manmade rock path and trail. Step up and down on large stone path, there is some mountain exposure in some places so staying on the path is essential. Walk around and across the mountain as a group to reach the safety of the mountain refuge. Picnic lunch. Pace will be going steady and slowly to enjoy yourself, take your time to appreciate the environment before returning to the lift. Relatively easy going mountain walk with easy rock steps. The longer option is called 1 day Brevent Carleveyron 10km - Lift Up! ALTITUDE: A lift takes you from Chamonix level 1034m to mountain top by lift, you walk out at 2525m so if you suffer from altitude sickness be prepared to descend immediately if any symptoms of altitude sickness, or consider choosing a different trip. Consider the altitude before selecting this walk as it is above 2000m. AVOIDS: This walk avoids uphill walking from the bottom of the valley. It does not go all the way to the top on steep, narrow alpine paths from the valley because it uses a lift instead, that option is available under difficult walks.
