Impressions of these campsites in Switzerland, Italy & France are entirely subjective, a positive opinion based on a positive personal experience whilst trekking on part of, or the full, Tour Mont Blanc circular hike.
I am not paid by anyone owning or working at the campsite I just respect their professional standards. I have no conflicts of interests and I am not attached to any of these people or their businesses in any way.
1. Hobo, Courmayeur, Italy
2. Glaciers, La Fouly, Switzerland
3. Montets, Le Buet, France
4. Ponctet, Les Contamines, France
5. Marmotte, Bossons, Chamonix, France
Reasons:
1. Hobo, Courmayeur, Italy - hot clean showers, clean toilets, perfect lawn for walking on bare foot, evening & breakfast bar with fresh croissants and apple cake, fresh Italian vegetables in shop, onsite shop with first aid and sanitary products, good people, outside seating area, inside games room, bar with beer and crisps, tables and chairs, little kitchen area with facilities for all to use. Views of glaciers and mountains. Fair price.
2. Glaciers, La Fouly, Switzerland - clean showers and toilets. Washing machines and hand wash room for clothes. Large chalet cabin with flat screen TV, microwave, power charging area, PCs, kettle, board games and books. Areas for internal food preparation with fridge freezer by reception area. Welcoming good people. Shop with a little coffee machine. Enormous ice cream freezer at reception and fridge with emergency food supplies and cold soft drinks, beer/wine. Bread & croissant ordering service at reception for pick up the following morning. Excellent views of glaciers and mountains and a shop in the village. Local easy walks and difficult and bike hire possible too. It is possible to arrive late in the night and settle up the next day. Several facilities buildings for such a large campsite which works very well.

3. Montets, Le Buet, France: clean camping field with a few lovely trees and flat ground, beautiful views all around. Short walk from Le Buet train station on side road right after train SNCF station. Clean showers and toilets. No shoes are permitted in the showers area. In high season pizza and beer is available. Fair price.

Clean showers just above the camping field at Camping des Montets...

4. Ponctet, France: a tent zone is protected from cars between the pine trees, many washing machines, clean hot showers and toilets, external café, drink fridge. I have arrived at all times of the day and night without being told off for which I am so very grateful because to reach here after a 55km hike on some occasions is a welcomed resting place.

5. Marmotte, Bossons, Chamonix: clean, well organised, musli on sale at reception, drinks fridge at reception. A short walk to train station Les Bossons SNCF to connect with other stations on the Mont Blanc Express line and SNCF lines. It is small and fills up quickls so nearby alternatives are the Camping 2 glaciers up the road and the squirrels Camping L'ecureuil. (Camping 2 glaciers is a great too, the terrain is fabulous and there is washing machine, but the shop is not onsite and another issue is the toilet and showers block are all under ground / down stairs and get very smelly).
