2025 - TOUR MONT BLANC - CHAMONIX START

The FULL TMB - Tour Mont Blanc - also starts in Chamonix in France for 9 days of hiking, the same route as the Swiss start option but faster and in the other direction.  It is also a guided walking vacation.  It goes around the granite Mont Blanc Massif mountains in a circular loop to enjoy the scenery from all angles - the glaciers, geography and geology, alpine pastures, valleys and rivers, flowers and wildlife, views all around on these delightful European mountains tours.

The Tour Mont Blanc uses alpine refuges as accommodation in the mountains and 4 star hotels in towns.  There is a TMB CAMP option if you prefer to valley camp and mountain camp the entire time.  All meals and accommodation included for the HOTEL option but not the CAMP option which is a take out trip so you can pay and select for food and drink yourself.  The HOTEL option is in collaboration with the accommodation establishment and therefore the choice and selection is limited to what the establishment is offering as part of a set menu for trekkers and extra food and drink is for the client to personally purchase.

The Tour Mont Blanc trek offers 9-12 fabulous days of mountain walking.  An English speaking International Mountain Leader is always included who also speaks French, Spanish and some German. 

The fantastic views on the Mont Blanc mountains are spectacular.  Each day you see them from all 3 sides:  the Italian side, French side and Swiss side as you walk around on this fabulous trek.

If you are prefer a camp only option then please select the TMB CAMP product, it does not use hotels or alpine mountain refuges or huts, it is a mountain experience without comfort with non stop walking and ruck sack carrying and no home comforts that you find in an alpine mountain refuge like home cooking, a bed with bedding provided, running water in bathrooms, a bar and snacks and food for sale, heating if cold.  ​

Participants do always carry their own rucksacks with an emergency bivvi bag in and a sleeping bag just in case of a mountain emergency.  Hopefully you will not need it but you just never know so it is always carried for an emergency situation such as a land slide or alpine storm if you need to take emergency shelter somewhere.  It is better to be safe than sorry even if you do not use your bivvi bag or sleeping bag, it is always there for an emergency situation, just leave it at the bottom of a rucksack.
